John Woog Johnson plays solo-acoustic and shows with a full band. Formerly based out of the Chicago area, he will resume shows in the southwest from Pueblo, Co.
His current project is The Exit 96 Band as a Duo and Four piece band.
Previous bands have included Undertoad, Legs Akimbo, The Enormous Johnsons, 2nd City Songwriters, Wizard Blue and Flux. These bands have played primarily Rock with a mixture of Blues, Country Rock and Rockabilly.
Woog Johnson is a Singer/Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist playing: Acoustic & Electric Guitar (6-12), Lap Steel, Harmonica (Cross & Straight), Mandolin, 8 string Ukelele, Trumpet , Keyboard, Drum programming and Percussion.
Woog and his bands have played all the notable venues in Chicago including festivals and  numerous radio appearances on AM and FM. He played full sets as a solo and with Undertoad on WZRD - FM.
