Anabel Roda - Lead Vocal
Anabel is the reason there is a Legs Akimbo. Some of us
were wandering around under another name, when we met
Anabel. She had the big three, a great voice, stage presence
and she wanted to be in our band. Well, it was obvious we
needed a new name. Legs Akimbo was born.
The founding member of Legs Akimbo, is the songwriter
and creative force behind the band. John Woog's songs
are about questioning authority, relationships, love, lust
and the quest of life. Woog also appears with 2nd City
Songwriters, a solo acoustic ensemble.
Dale is the backbone of Legs Akimbo. A talented
performer, Dale's enthusiasm and love of playing
is an essential ingredient in every show. Beyond that,
Dale is just about the best bass player ever.
Bruce is a guitar monster. He brings a raw, no-nonsense
energy to the band with his rot-gut, bluesy lead guitar style.
The songs take on new life with Bruce' sound in the mix
and you’ll hear all those licks you want to hear in the songs
you love.
He moved here from Florida and joined Legs Akimbo.
despite the seeming insanity of moving from the sunbelt
to Chicago during the winter, we’re glad he did. He’s the
nicest ex-cop ever to appear on cops.
